Clean sweep for Town's Table Tennis Teams
The annual Town v Gown Table Tennis event was held at the Cricket Schools’ Hall at the University Sports Centre on Iffley Road and followed the same all-play-all format on six tables as last year. In spite of the festive counter-attractions of the Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day (February 14th 2010), City fielded strong sides, which enjoyed the most one-sided set of victories since the revival of the competition in 2007.

 The Oxford Sports Council (OSC) promotes sport and sporting activity in the city of Oxford. It is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation and its committee is made up of representatives of the city's different sports groups and clubs.
 The OSC and Oxford University Sports Federation jointly co-ordinate the annual series of Town vs. Gown competitions. These matches are played in over 18 sports and pit the best student sportspeople against some of the best sporting talent that the city has to offer.
Each year the OSC awards the Young Sportsperson of the Year, Contribution to Sports and Team of the Year awards. In addition the council supports sport at all levels by providing grants to eligible sports, schools, clubs and individuals.
